Solemates {Meet my Missoni flats}

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

Yes, I am referring to my feet and my new Missoni flats. A bit ridiculous I know, but I've been dreaming about these babies for quite awhile now and we almost didn't connect. I arrived at my Target at about 8:20 am and the shelves were bare. I was crushed. Until, I saw an employee carrying out a stack of shoe boxes to the hoards of women standing around anxiously awaiting more loot. Everyone stood there a little frozen when he set them down, but not me. I dashed towards the shelves and snagged the box not knowing what size they were. Alas, they were a size 8. Hallelujah! I also got some goodies for the girls but missed out on the dress and mugs I was dreaming of. Oh well!

Even my two year old knows good fashion when she sees it, mission accomplished!

PS: What are your thoughts on buying Missoni for Target on Ebay? Obviously hate the jerks that cleared the shelves just to resell, but are you joining in on the boycott? {For the record, there were 20,000 listings for Missoni for Target on ebay when I wrote this, grrrrrrr!}

I got Mary those same shoes and she won't take them off. So cute!

Everything was cleaned out at my target, except a few little things.
Yeah it's sad that people who genuinely wanted an item but instead missed out to the ebayers out there. I don't think it's right, but it is the not so nice side of Capitalism.

I just bought some shirts on Target.com, true they don't have everything available but they still have some. I refuse to buy from ebay, ridiculous prices where you can still get the same items from Target, plus they are supposed to restock some time today or Friday, depending on where you are :)

luckily i live a little "out there" in the country, so there wasn't such a mad rush. i went in the afternoon and got a mug, shoes for me, some stuff for my daughter, and they even had some of the ties left for guys. but alas, no scarves, bags, or home items like the awesome throws and pillows were left :/ i detest the people that cleared the shelves for ebay. i'm going to check back over the next few days for new stuff.

LOVE them!! I wasn't able to go yesterday so I'm sure the entire store is bare of any Missoni but I'm still going to try!!

I had to put mine on Ebay bc they were too small! Boo! I really don't want to part with them!

I got these flats too but the soles are wearing out completely. I have only worn them twice and I cant wear them outside anymore. They are soo cute but the quality of the soles are disappointing to me.

I discovered your blog through photos of your daughter's monkey party on Pinterest, and as I looked through your archives, I found myself wishing you lived in Alabama. You are so creative, and I appreciate your witty style! I hope you will stop by my blog sometime. I have four children, and we have fun with their birthdays!
