Sweet and Simple First Birthday Party

Friday, March 04, 2011

I just about died when I saw this gorgeous first birthday party by Melody of Innove Events. The concept behind the darling one year old's party was to skip a big shindig and have an intimate celebration with immediate family members and hire a photographer to capture the day. Let me say that Melody is a smart woman, ahhh I wish I could have this type of self-restraint, but {un}fortunately I have grand plans for Miss Q's upcoming 1st bash.

Don't you just love this unfrosted rainbow cake? I am tucking away this idea for Quinne's party. And the lollipops on top, too cute! All of the sweet details are so simple and easy to recreate.

Do you remember my post about the girl's kitchen? How darling is Melody's in powder blue? This almost made me wish I had gotten mine in a color, but just for a second because I adore the white. I do wish that I had thought to style out our kitchen like this! Enjoy these gorgeous photos by Annie Hosfeld.

Gorgeous party Melody! I have serious creative envy right now!!!

So cute...love the idea of using the kitchen as a staging area for the sweets! For a smaller scale display, it couldn't be more perfect. And that cake just screams "rainbow party" birthday cake.
