Morrocan Poufs on a Dime

Tuesday, March 01, 2011

When I began working on Quinne's nursery, I knew I wanted it to have an Anthropology feel that was eclectic & colorful with a few unexpected touches. I was absolutely stuck when it came to a side table to sit next to her gorgeous burnt orange linen Kravet chair (which I got for a steal, originally $2200 but I snagged it for $250). I  needed something versatile, cheap and something that would grow up with her.

Enter the pouf!

I googled gold Moroccan pouf and landed on Home Shopping Network. I cringed until I saw that it was by Nate Berkus and decided to be a little more open minded and click the link. For $99, I was sold. Sure, it's faux leather but does that really matter in a kids room? Plus, it arrived stuffed and ready to go.

Available at HSN here

In case you want real leather, here is one for $220 from Tonic Home. A great price for leather but it arrives unstuffed. I kind of hate when I buy something somewhat expensive and then still have to put in some work. I do love the stitching on this one better though.

Available at Table Tonic here

Can't wait to show you the pictures of this pouf in Quinne's room soon. Are you sick of me talking about the upcoming photoshoot soon?
